I date an Iranian man and want to know what is normal when it comes to kissing, culturally speaking. I know better than to expect him to touch or kiss me in public, but he only kisses me when he wants to make love or just after we do. From what he has said, his parents did not get along very well, so maybe he never saw them kissing and assumes that he shouldn't kiss me? I kiss him on the cheek at times and he doesn't mind, but I don't want him to assume I want sex when all I want is a kiss. Should I just kiss him and not worry about it, or what?

Dear Persian chocolate,
There are books around the world on Farsi/Persian language, as I realy don't know where you live I can't tell you where to get one. But you can browse internet to find online ones.
But good sources of love poems are Iranian poems, New ones or Classic ones ( the two existing styles of poems in Iran) like those of Hafez,...

Here is a couple of verses by Hafez:

Ey padeshahe khooban Daad az ghame tanhaee
Del bee to be jaan amad Vaght ast ke baaz aee

Translation: You the king of all niceties
I cry loud because of sorrow from loneliness

My heart is dying out
It's time you came back

Yours, Ben.
