Tehran, Jan 15, IRNA -- Iran is predicted to be grappling with 6.9 million jobless people in the Iranian calendar year of 1382 (to start March 21, 2003), a senior economist said Sunday.
The student news agency ISNA cited Ali Rashidi as saying that since the calendar year of 1374 (March 1995-1996), the industry sector suffered a heavy blow whose consequences, he added, are seen in a fall in non-oil exports.
He noted that by the end of the third five-year economic recovery plan, launched in March 2000, 3,500,000 job opportunities have to be created, 500,000 of which would take effect.
The Iranian population, estimated at 62 million, is one of the world's youngest, with 35 million people under the age of 20.
Unfortunately, they are the most hit by unemployment which is hitting the country hard. Three million are unemployed notwithstanding a five-year development plan.
Grappling with an already high unemployment rate, estimated at 16 percent, the government is faced with an increasing legion of university graduates that enter the workforce each year to find jobs.

Then many may have to leave Iran and go to other countries for work if this is the case.
Other wise why not start some buisnesses that you can export products to other countries.
Like selling carpets, and Isfhan crafts. Or crafts from other provinces.
I suggest english classes for everyone who wants to do buisness with the world.
All times are PT (US)
